The Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act requires prescribers renewing their DEA registration to complete a minimum of eight training hours on opioid or substance use disorders. The Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act requires prescribers renewing their DEA registration as of June 27, 2023, to have completed at least eight hours of training on opioid or other substance use disorders. This training can be provided by a variety of organizations—including HMP Education. HMP Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
